YWAM...what now?

For the last 7 months I've been praying about all things YWAM Perth, and it really has been a rollercoaster ride! I talked in my last blog about how during missions week of my lecture phase on DTS, God told me that the UK was not where I was supposed to be (at least for this next season). It's bizarre (especially now being back in Britain) that this place, that I've lived my whole life in so far, isn't going to be home anymore. I think the weirdest part about it is that I feel incredibly at peace about that! Being here is great and I am having so much fun catching up with friends and family, but I also know that this isn't where I'm supposed to be...and I honestly cannot wait to start life in Perth!

When God gave me the all clear to join staff I knew that the next thing I needed was to think and pray about where God wanted me on base, and what my life was going to look like. There are so many amazing ministries at YWAM Perth, and a lot of opportunity for me to get involved and put in a hard graft for Jesus! I have prayed over a lot of ministries, especially in the last few weeks and I've finally heard God clearly about what to do. I know that He wants to use my musical ability to bring His word and love, and I also know that He wants to challenge me, push me, and take me out of my comfort zone and further into His presence. So here it is...

At the beginning of March 2020 I will be heading back to Australia and joining a new ministry at YWAM Perth called PTX. PTX comes from the Ancient Greek words “Phone tou Therismou Christou” that translates to “The Sound of the Harvest of Christ”. As a ministry PTX provides a home, training and discipleship for artists, producers, musicians, dancers, skateboarders and other creatives, with a goal to represent Jesus well in the market place. We write and record songs and then perform them at various secular venues and media outlets but also serve the church and take part in campaigns and missions in the nations. We include dancers, video makers and different urban sport forms in our ministry, outreaches and tours reaching the lost. The aim of the ministry is to influence youth culture and the world we live in, using the gifting that God has given us.

It is super exciting to be apart of this new ministry, and I am expectant for how God will move within it, and through it, in the nations. I'll be sharing more about my work with PTX when I arrive in Perth, but for now I just have a few prayer points for you:

- That my applications for YWAM (including visa) would all go well

- That God would continue to speak to me about my role at YWAM Perth

- That I would see all of the funds / support that I need come in before I leave

Thank you for partnering with me in prayer!

God bless!
