My oh my July

This month is shaping up to be pretty incredible and its not even over! I'm definitely still trying to get used to these cold wintery Julys, but come December I'm sure I'll have gotten over it. Anyway, on with some updates...

Winter Camp
Wow what a week! If you read my last blog you'll know that in the second week of this month I was able to join the staff team running our annual winter camp for youth around WA. It was INCREDIBLE. Big thankyou to those who gave towards the finances for this outreach. We saw God move so powerfully throughout the week, and I had a good handful of spiritually deep and challenging conversations. Our games team pulled out all the stops and made our activity times some that myself and the campers will never forget (the mud pit was a particular favourite of mine).
One of my favourite moments from camp happened during our small groups. Myself and friend Leah were leading a group of 6 girls aged 15-17 from all sorts of backgrounds. Some were from Christian homes, some not, one or two had incredibly messy situations happening around them, and others seemed to live a very cookie cutter life. But regardless of circumstances, these girls needed to know the truth about who they are to Jesus. In my quiet time on the Thursday morning, I felt the Lord impress upon me to write down every lie I'd believed or still believed about myself. After this He began to pour into me the truth of who I am, and had a rebuttal for every lie I had spilled out on my paper. He asked me to do the same with the girls, and so as we lead them in their quiet times, I had them find space and write their lies on a piece of paper. I also gave them each a separate sheet of paper with their name on, and truths that God had given me to tell them about who they are. It was crazy to see how much of what God gave me for each girl was a direct rebuttal to the lies they had put to paper, just as He had done for me that morning. Later in the day, we all made our way to the bonfire and one by one we burnt our lies as an act of spiritual-warfare against the enemy and surrender to the truth.
It was such a powerful time, and to see these girls, if even for that moment, rid themselves of the lies they had taken as truth was such a beautiful and powerful thing to behold. A couple of them even said that it was the best thing we'd done all camp, which is saying something, because honestly those games were mega! I just love Jesus so much, don't you?!
Life on Windsor Street
I love this house. It might only be small but all the love that fills it makes it feel a heck of a lot bigger! I have 3 beautiful housemates and we are currently in the process of renewing our lease for another 12 months, which is both exciting and scary. With the renewal of our lease, it does mean we will have an increase in our rent. From September our rent will increase to $420 a week, which equates to roughly £230. I'm incredibly grateful for the support team I have who currently allow me to live in this nation, in this apartment with these awesome ladies. If you feel like you have the ability to give towards my rent, I would love to welcome you to my team as well!

1 Year on...
They say time flies when you're having fun, and this year has been a whirlwind. Jared and I celebrated our first year of dating last week, and we have more celebrations to come...I never really pegged him as a romantic but apparently I have a Saturday full of plans heading my way this week! Something I've learnt from this past year is that the best things are usually the hardest. We've both grown in our humility, patience, love and trust (all the married couples said "AMEN" haha). Jesus really has blessed me with this man, and I am expectant and excited for where He will take us and how He will grow us this year.

PTX
Don't panic, we still have a song coming out! Due to the recent lockdown we had here in WA, the editing of our music video was a little bit postponed. When we release "Back to You" and its video will depend on the label we go through, but I assure you it will come out and you will be able to access it very soon! We're stoked to share this song with you all and see how God uses it for His Kingdom.
Tribes
We had our first Vision Sunday at church last weekend and it was a huge success and so much fun! God is really doing something amazing with this house, and I am blessed to be serving on team and launching into this new frontier with this tribe. If you're interested in checking out my church and what we do, head over to tribeusaustralia.com.
